2012 Annual NIBA Awards Banquet

The Northwest Indian Bar Association (NIBA) Governing Council cordially invites you to attend the 2012 Annual NIBA Awards Banquet.  The banquet will be held on June 7, 2012 at the Seattle University Campion Ball Room located at 914 E. Jefferson Street in Seattle .  Cash bar and reception are from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.; dinner at 6:30 pm.

This year’s NIBA Lifetime Achievement Awardees’ are Michael Taylor, Reservation Attorney Lead for the Tulalip Tribes; and, Doug Nash (Nez Perce), Director of the Center for Indian Law and Policy and Adjunct Professor at Seattle University School of Law, who will both be featured as NIBA’s keynote speakers.  Billy Frank, Jr. (Nisqually) is the awardee of the Tara Blair Champion of Indian Law Award and Michael E. Douglas (Haida) is the awardee of the very first NIBA Unsung Hero Award.     

The dinner will also feature lively entertainment from the Tsimshian Haayuuk Dancers and an Am erican Indian Art Live Auction and a Wine Grab.

The price for the banquet is $85/per person and $75/NIBA member.  You can purchase tickets by completing the attached NIBA Individual Ticket form by May 31, 2012.
